The only routine that survived 2 years: wake up at a consistent time (7:30, nothing heroic), no phone for the first 30 minutes, one glass of water, and I write tomorrow's top-3 list the night before so mornings need zero decisions. That last part is the whole trick โ€” decision-free mornings.

Habit stacking worked for me: I attached one tiny new habit to an existing one (after brushing โ†’ 10 pushups; after coffee โ†’ 10 minutes of reading). Never two new habits at once. Boring, sustainable, compounding.
