How do I introduce myself in an interview as a fresher?
'Tell me about yourself' opens every interview and I ramble every time — half my college syllabus, my hobbies, everything. What's the structure that works?

Use present → past → future, 60–90 seconds, rehearsed but not memorized:
Present (who you are professionally): 'I'm a final-year CS student focused on backend development.'
Past (2 proof points, chosen for THIS job): 'I built a payment-splitting app that ~200 students at my college use, and interned at a startup where I owned their notification service.'
Future (why this role): 'I want to work on systems at real scale, which is exactly what this team does.'
Rules: nothing that's already obvious from your resume header, no family/hobby tour, no CGPA unless it's exceptional. Every sentence should make them want to ask a follow-up — you're planting hooks, not reading a biography. Practice it out loud five times; the difference between the first and fifth attempt is embarrassing for all of us.

The candidates who nail it in 60 seconds and stop talking start the interview with a quiet advantage. Ending with energy pointed at the role matters more than any specific credential you list.
